DJ and Officiant Recommendations?

We got our underwater engagement shots with Eric from L'Amour Photography and they turned out great! Now just have to work on our last contracts...Who do you all recommend for a DJ, we are going to have our friends' Brazilian bandplay for cocktail hour into dinner, so are trying to keep the budget for the DJ below $1000. Any suggestions?

Also we are looking for someone to do our cermony as well. Neither of us are very religious and we are looking for someone casual and informal. People recommended Mike Nelson and Boyd Luna Lyons. Has anyone worked with either officiant before?

Which island are you getting married on?

If you are on Maui, we used Dennis DeRego. We are both atheists and were very adamant about having no religion in our ceremony. He did a beautiful Hawaiian ceremony and everyone loved it!

If you are getting married on Maui, we used DJ Del Sol and he was super easy to work with and super fun. We had him for about 3-4 hours and it was under $1000

If Maui, DJ Dan Viola!  No officiant recommendaitons, though -- we brought our own.

I'm using DJ Boomshot (Jay Langworthy) and it's $1000 for 4 hours.

Thanks for all of the recommendations! We are on Oahu, and ended up getting a Living Social deal for N-D Mixx Productions for our DJ, I will look into Kahu Bruce as an officiant

Aloha!  I saw the same Living Social deal and am thinking of hiring NDMixx as well.
