TGIF!!

Holy carp I'm glad the week is coming to an end.  I'm home for the first weekend in a long time -- lots of chores and a huge backlog of laundry to get through.  Tongue out  The house is such a catastrophe ever since the wedding, AHR, my move, DH's move, and 4 months of back-to-back travel.  Egads.

What's on tap with y'all?

Got the keys to the house last night so this weekend will probably be a mixture of round three of dress shopping tomorrow and then a friends BBQ in the afternoon. Then probably shopping for bathroom fixtures and flooring.  Sounds like you ladies need some veg out moments.

I'm so happy it's Friday! I woke up and remembered my boss was going to a conference! SCORE! I cleaned up the house, worked out, caught up with the knot lol, and going to lunch with FI. Totally needed another day because it's my bachelorette weekend! I'm so excited! We're going wine tasting and spa!

Can I also ask a question? Does anyone else feel guilty about making bm's pay for so much stuff? I didn't really ask but I'm sure they feel obligated. They're doing so much for me already I feel like I should be doing more for them.

tin2ca - I'm ok with her costs, but I also let her pick whatever she wanted to wear.  We don't have colors, and she's the only BM, so I told her to wear anything, something she has, something new.  She found a cute dress on a clearance rack for about $20 or so.  She had already told me she was ok flying anywhere as long as she got to see the wedding.  We're thinking of a super nice thank you gift for her and her BF, something like a helicopter tour of the islands or a shark dive or something cool like that that she might not plan on her own.  She's been super gung ho on a shower and stagette, so we just planned it around when she would be in town (she lives way far away from me) so she didn't have to fly in twice.  If you're concerned abotu the amount they're spending, maybe treat them to something nice in Hawaii.  Wow, long post!!

We only had 1 MOH and 1 Best Man, no others.  We bought both of their attire (although the MOH got to pick any yellow dress she liked).  I also paid for hair & makeup, flights, and hotel for the MOH.  Best Man booked a family vacation through AAA so they were on their own for that.

I think we were a little extreme in what we covered, but the MOH is my younger sister who is just getting started in her adult life, so I didn't want to tax her unnecessarily.  We didn't do any pre-wedding parties except getting our nails done 2 days before the wedding.

    Definately TGIF.
@Tanq, enjoy your weekend at home.  From your past posts on all of your traveling, it sounds like you need a catch up weekend.

FH stayed home today and cleaned, did laundry. I worked and then went dress shopping. I feel like it was a bust but my daughter said that we learned more of what looks good and what would work so it was a good experience overall.  I will finish a few DIY centerpieces while FH works OT tomorrow. Not sure what else at this point but had a lot of meetings this week so I think I will spend some of it sleeping.
