Did you send it by courier or regular mail...do you have a tracking number?  I have sent several pieces to Maui with no problem...my last package was sent from Jacksonville Florida on April 27 and arrived on Maui May 4 via USPS Priority Mail.  Most of the packages that I've sent from the US mainland  to Maui arrived in less than two weeks...usually in around a week. Hope you get your packages in time....best of luck! J. :-)

Do you have a tracking number or anything?  I would definitely contact the shipping company and file a claim and start an investigation on where they might be.  Even the slowest forms of shipment should probably have arrived by now.

Also, where did you have them shipped to?  I would be sure to have a contact person there who is aware of the situation.  Sometimes they can get sent to the wrong area, like if you are at a hotel.

    GOOD LUCK!

Check with the shipping company for tracking and see if the boxes could be delivered to your hotel.

Yikes, that is why I am taking our boxes with us on the airlines!  Yes, we will have to pay for extra baggage but the piece of mind that our stuff is just sitting below us is totally worth it to me.  Like all the other girls said, call the shipping company ASAP, that is not acceptable unless you mailed it the slow way, in that case I'm not sure what you should do.  The shipping to HI can be really screwy.

That's my worst nightmare. I have awful awful luck with shipping things, and worse luck with traveling. I would definitely file a claim ASAP.

I'm getting super nervous about carrying my dress on. My friend flew US Air yesterday and she only had one carry on and they made her check it, but there were several people on the flight that had 3 carry ons! Of course, they lost her luggage. This is the 2nd time they've done that to her in 2 months. If they pull that crap with my dress I'm going to FLIP! :P

Good luck Weiky on getting your stuff. Yes, hopefully you can track your packages with the company. I've noticed even sending my checks to vendors from Los Angeles to Oahu takes a week or two.

Breaness - I totally have the same fear, but all the knotties suggest definitely carrying it on and call ahead of time to see if you can get it stowed in the first class closet (not sure if that's exactly what they call it).

Brea - I am not worried about that at all cause if they try to tell me that I need to check my dress, I will wear it on the plane!  That is BS, like they couldn't find someplace to store it.  I think it really helps to get the stewardesses on your side - I am bringing chocolates with me to give them!!!

We shipped two large boxes of stuff by USPS from WA state to Maui about 4 weeks before we were travelling there (yea, cutting it close), and were told they would arrive within 2 weeks.  Well, they didn't.  In fact, they took an extra week and a half, and arrived just the weekend before we were leaving.  But they arrived!

In this process we learned that the shipping time when you ship USPS can really vary.  Apparently they literally ship it by boat, so if your shipment missed that week's boat, or whatever, then it waits for the next - which can mean it takes longer sometimes than you think it will for your shipment to arrive.

It was stressful for us, and we started putting together a backup plan for everything we'd shipped (which included the speakers for our afterparty, and the tools to DIY BM bouquets), but we didn't end up having to use it, and it turned out fine.  I'm sure it'll be the same for you!
