Getting married in Kauai. Whats better, grass or sand?

Heyy ladies!

So we have everything booked for 11.11.11. We're going to be at Poipu. I talked to several event planners and they said we can rent an estate for the ceremony to have chairs and an arch.
My dream wedding looks like the one with the arch, but please tell me what your opinion is. I want to know what looks better in photos. Our wedding will most likely take place in the morning. We have 7 guests with us.

Go with whichever you want. I think all three photos are gorgeous and would be pleased with all of these!

Eh, I wouldn't worry the photos quite yet. Think about a location that's meaningful to you and that's comfortable for the guests, because really, no matter where you have it, it's going to look great.

Do you want to walk on the sand or on the grass?

I agree with others - it's really up to your individual preference.  Go with what feels right or whatever fits the "dream" best!  Is your vision of your wedding on the beach?  If so, I'd go with that whether it was with or without the arch.

On the other hand, if the arch is really important to you, a grassy area might be better for supporting an arch structure (just thinking of set-up logistics).

I love the beach (grew up on one), but we felt sand would be difficult to walk on (I wanted to wear heels!) and a beach is quite exposed to the elements and potentially lacking in privacy.  Since we were going for a "formalish" wedding, we ruled out a beach wedding in the end.  Just my two cents!  Glad the plans are coming together for you.  :)

Have you found a place that will allow chairs and an arch in the sand? Im pretty sure its no longer allowed. To me I really wanted an arch, aisle & chairs for our guests.

    Love all your answers.
If I end up going with the beach, I will have to rent out an estate.
This is a pretty hard decision.

Just make sure the beach you'd be on isn't a state run beach (as opposed to a parks & rec run beach)  - those are the ones that you can't set stuff up on.
