Yeah - he seems great. He seems a bit expensive though...but I don't really have much to compare him to...it could be average. His basic package is $900 which includes 1.5 hours of photography, a disc with all photos, and access to his online gallery. Then he charges by the half-hour after that...which I think ends up being around $250 per half hour. So to have him for 4 hours, for example...it costs $2,170. This does not include any prints...only the disc with photos. I don't really have any base for comparison....so maybe this is average....or maybe it is inexpensive?? I just don't know. Any thoughts would be helpful.
Is the disc with high resolution images? If so and he provides you with printing rights I really don't see the point in having prints included. They're really cheap and you can get them yourself.
The price is high, but it's high because he's good. You'll pay more for better photographers than crappy photographers. It's up to you to decide what is worth it.
Yes - the disc has high-resolution images and he give printing rights. So I agree, no real need for prints. This is helpful, thank you. That's pretty much the conclusion I have come to....he might be on the pricey side but I know I am getting good quality.
We looked at a lot of photographers and only contacted the ones we thought were really talented. Dwight's rates are along the lines of what we found. HI photogs seem a bit pricier than mainland photogs, but everything on HI is more expensive. If great photography is important to you, and he's your first choice, lock him in. You'll be glad to have one decision made. Based on my research, he's not *that* expensive.
