Paradise Cove Beach.. vent

So I guess having a wedding ceremony on a public beach isn't as easy as we thought! :(  We are getting married lin about 2 months.. yikes!  at Paradise Cove beach next to the luau.  It seems that everywhere is strict on parking!  Since I am planning from the mainland, it's hard and parents live on another island.  Apparently there are limited parking stalls, Paradise Cove won't let us park there 1/2hr early ceremony is at 4:30, luau begins at 5pm, and I hear that security is strict so I am hoping that we DO NOT have problems at the gate, esp. since we are attending the luau!

THankfully, I called Ihilani and they will allow us to park for $35!!  And the guests would have to walk over.... not sure how far the walk is..???  We will have about 6-7 cars, so not bad.  And we will only need Ihilani parking if there are no stalls by the public beach access.

Anyone have problems or concerns like me?  I'm not going to worry about it anymore, I really am trying to be laid back esp. since we are on a budget.... can't imagine spending a lot of moola on one day.  Thanks for listening, and would appreciate any advice if anyone has encountered any similar problems :)

We go there all the time. There is only a tiny lot for that cove. But the walk from ihilani won't be bad. I would drop people off with belongings and have someone go park. Good luck! Beautiful location!!

I like the idea of having people dropped off with others to go park.  If it's far, could you arrange for a shuttle (they have some that seat 25) to go back & forth?

Not a far walk at all... pretty leisurely. :) I echo StaceyandSchaffer - have people dropped off and someone park.

Thanks for the support!  I spoke with Kainani, event specialist at Ihilani and she is awesome!  We will prob just go ahead and pay for parking then people can walk or there is even a SHUTTLE!! :)  It leaves like every 30 mins and takes you around the Ko'olina area, just found that out today :)  Yes so either way FI is going to head down a littler earlier with the men to scope it out ... thanks ladies!
