Coverage Liability Insurance for Weddings

Hi all,

Hopefully you might be able to shed some light on this for me. I'm planning to have a beach wedding and when I was looking at how to apply for a permit with the State of Hawaii, they asked that there be coverage for ilabilty listed out to the state of hawaii. I contacted my insurance company and he said that if you have home and personal insurance then you are covered but they cant put the State of Hawaii on the policy.

Does anyone know where I can get this insurance and whether or not what my insurance guy is telling me is correct.

Thanks!

I'm not sure about the beach, but I had to have insurance for my venue (Olowalu), but my coordinator carries it so I didn't have to deal with getting any.  But, I know it's very easy to get as I thought I was going to have to get it for my photog and it's super cheap.  I don't think it would fall under your home insurance, there is a special insurance for it.

Our venue also required coverage and like AKWB, our coordinator provided it.  I think it's quite common for WCs to carry this as part of their service.  A few other gals had beach weddings here so maybe they can help!
