Where should we go on our honeymoon?

We leave in 20 days and haven't booked yet. On our list of possibilities:

- Hong Kong to Thailand to the Maldives
- Costa Rica to Peru to Chile
- French Polynesia to ...?

We have 2.5 - 3 weeks. I'm worried about proximity to Japan given the latest radiation reports, so the Costa Rica trip is currently the front runner. Any other recommendations?

I vote for anywhere in the Caribbean, I've always dreamed of going to Turks & Caicos and really really wanted to be married anywhere over there, but my FI insisted that we had to have a wedding in the US, I even pushed for the US Virgin islands. Hawaii won, and I'm glad but I'd still Love to go there one day. Antigua and St. Lucia both look amazing (thanks to the bachelor/bachelorette shows!)

Out of your choices Thailand and the maldives sound pretty amazing, if it wasn't for radiation concerns I'd choose that! Shoot, they all sound pretty fabulous, I get so excited just dreaming about traveling!

Any interest in Europe? Southern France is beautiful, Greece...amazing. I personally love Germany but not so sure I think of it as a honeymoon spot. I have heard that Costa Rica is beautiful, I guess it depends on what you are looking to do on your honeymoon. Lay back, sip champagne, get massages in the sun= Caribbean. High energy hikes, outdoors (with r & r) at the end of the day def Costa Rica. Europe, well you could do all of the above but you would have to be willing to travel around, not much of a lay back and sip drinks out of coconuts kinda' honeymoon =) Happy planning!

I'm so jealous that you can get so much time off!

I've been to Costa Rica and it was pretty great. I really love South & Central America.

Panama was also really nice. We did a couple of days in Panama City, and then a couple of days at a nice resort (the DeCameron I think?) and it was a nice blend of culture & relaxation :)

I'm sure you can't go wrong!

I would vote for French Polynesia and then over to New Zealand or Tahiti, but then I'm more inclined to islands where I can dive. But I don't think you want to spend much of your time flying. So I would definitely vote for Costa Rica to Peru and Chile. I've always wanted to go to Chile and go visit the dedicated reserves of Patagonia. Where ever you go is going to be awesome and I'm so jealous.

I also second sparklegirl's vote on the Carribbean, but that's because I'm biased.
We went to Jade Mountain (where Jake proposed to what'sherface) and it was beyond amazing. There are no words for this place. It's definitely a must-go-before-you-die kind of place. You get your own infinity pool in your 3-walled sanctuary! That says relaxation to me

HOWEVER, of the places you listed, I'm also partial to French Polynesia. We were thinking of going to Tahiti and Bora Bora - because of those gorgeous waters and bungalows! Being able to jump out of your bungalow into the ocean sounds pretty cool. I'm also partial to beaches, though.

All of your places sound amazing, good luck choosing!
