House AW :) [Lots & Lots of PIP]

Sorry this is so delayed. I'm happy to share photos with you guys! I don't have any exterior shots since it's either been rainy or dark out any time I've been home since we've moved. Booo! I really need to take a few pictures of the garage though-- Steve's done an awesome job with it!

Without further ado... our home!

Let's start in the kitchen-- my favorite place!
And one bonus pic:

From the kitchen, let's go to the dining room!

Which is attached to the living room:
(coffee table is being delivered next Thursday)

Now to the computer room!

Turbo lives in here with us, here's her home:
And Bonus! A picture of Turbo:

Bedroom time! We're still waiting on the headboard and footboard, which won't be delivered until the middle of October. Right now the bed is just on the floor.
Bathroom time:

With that, let's head back to the kitchen and up the stairs!

This is the guest bedroom. We're waiting on a refund from the mattress we bought that didn't fit up the stairs before we buy another. There's now stuff on the walls too-- I just didn't take pictures.

Ignore the clothes on the dressers, this was before we moved everything into the new furniture downstairs.

Here's the before of the second bedroom upstairs. Cute, but not my style at all.

It's now a dark grey (ignore the pain edges, that's getting fixed this weekend)
So you don't think I'm crazy, Here are two inspiration pics for the future (2-3 years) nursery:

We figured we'd paint it the color we wanted it for the nursery since we hate painting so we won't have to redo it later.

Sooo, upstairs there's also a bathroom but I don't have any updated pictures so I'm just going to exclude those, and lead you to our unfinished basement.
Holy dark picture, Batman! But yeah, our washer & dryer rock. I feel like I'm in the Jetsons with all of these amazing new appliances.

We set up our old couch down stairs with our bookshelves and a small TV. This TV has the PS2, Nintendo and Sega Genesis hooked up to it. We won't use them all of the time so it didn't make sense to have them upstairs with the other TV.

And that's it! Thanks for the attention :)

Our house was built in 1926, but as Steve's dad said the other day (which I'm totally going to steal because it describes the house perfectly) it's like someone built an old house yesterday.

Very cute! I love the future nursery and the pics of Turbo.  Ok like all.  We have a similair style.  Our kitchens look to be the same colors.  Good job on all of the painting.

    Thanks! :)

One thing I forgot to mention-- there's nothing on the walls in the bedroom because I'm waiting until we get back from Maui to get some of my pictures blown up and they'll go on the wall :)

Brea, wow!  I can't believe how settled you guys look.  You moved in 1 week after us, I think, and we have a bedroom set and 2 bar stools.  :P  I'm so impressed!  It looks amazing and cozy and moden and lush.  I love it.

Thank you Tanq!! We were very lucky that we had a lot of the furniture already. :)

When we moved in together 2 years ago to our apartment, we bought all new stuff. It was expensive then, but it paid off when we bought the house! It saved us a lot of money when we moved in, which was awesome because it was still expensive! We probably wouldn't have been able to do it all at once if it wasn't for that. :)

Have your ordered furniture already or are you waiting to get the rooms the way you like first?

Yeah, 2011 has been a crazy expensive year for us.  Wedding, AHR, 2 new cars (unexpectedly), 3 cross country moves, and a condo purchase.  So we're taking it slow with furniture.  Bought a bedroom set on clearance (WOOT) and 2 bar stools from Ikea.  Have a couch on order (not ready until November) and will drive up a TV from our previous home in a few weeks.  Other than that I think we'll stay pretty bare bones for the rest of the year.  We need to save up again first :)
