The Grand Luau at Honua'ula

On the same note as group activites I was wondering if there is a better company to go through booking this Luau?  We want to attend this one because it is centrally located for all of our wedding day activities. We will not be hosting this event but quiet a few guests are going to join us on our wedding night at the Luau. I wanted to make sure we would be able to sit together but I really don't want to go through the hassel of collecting money.  We will purchase 7 tickets and I wasn't sure if that is enough to get us started and if they could reserve more seats for other guests and fill them in as they pay?

We did the OLL as our luau, but what we had to do was first book a block of tickets and people called in with their reservations & credit cards directly to the OLL. I *think* we were told that any tickets not purchased from the block 4 weeks before the luau would be released back to the general public. They couldn't guarantee us seats together if they'd done it in reverse.

Contact the luau directly and they should be able to set something up for you. OLL did an arrangement for us where I revered how many seats I wanted and then I have to let them know the for sure number 48 hrs before the luau. All the guests then just pay at the door.

Call the hotel and Luau and see.  We stayed at the Marriott and our group relations contact reserved all of our seats for us.  We changed our count about 5 times (ILs coudln't decide how many of them wanted to go) and they were pretty flexible.  I could definitely see them 'holding' a number of seats for you for a period of time, 7 of which you pay for and the rest guests could call to pay directly.

BTW, it was a fantastic luau according to our families.  We didn't even attend as we just needed some time away from them before the madness, but their reviews were rave!
