Affordable Oahu wedding planner

Hi ladies, my fiance and I would like to get married at Lanikuhonua next year and we are looking for an affordable local wedding planner! I've called a few but I am getting quotes for $2300-$5500. We are looking for a package deal but would like some input on vendors. Are there any great Oahu wedding planners that are less expensive, in the $1000- $1500 range?

Did you try Dianna w/ Hawaii Weddings & Events? She's our planner & we're getting married at Lanikuhonua next month She's been great.

Hi Melmac, yes I have and her rates are definitely on the lower end of the Oahu wedding planners that I have contacted! I just find it interesting that Oahu wedding planners are so much more expensive then the ones I have talked to on Maui. (We are still debating whether or not to have our wedding at Olowahu house on Maui or Lanikuhonua on Oahu). Overall Im getting the sense that a wedding at Olowahu will cost us a few thousand less than Lanikuhonua, although Maui is more expensive for our guests in terms of accomodation and flights! Ahh decisions decisions! Anyone else face a similar dilema? Thanks, Lees

We also used Dianna from Hawaii Weddings and Events, she was awesome!    We had a full service package but with her vendor connections and cost savings ideas, we saved almost as much as her fee.

We considered Maui but our guests were coning to Hawaii for the first time and we didn't think there were enough activities,

I used KathE Garcia from Gayle Weddings and she was about $1250 for just day of coordination, but I booked her mostly because she also did unlimited e-mail consultation. She recommended tons of vendors and I met with her a few weeks before the wedding to give her all the information she needed. She did such a great job at our wedding and I would highly recommend her!

I used Carrie from Cherised in Hawaii Weddings and she was absolutely amazing!!  She will usually listen to what all you are needing and give you a price from there.  I would recommend her to everyone.

We chose Dawn with the Romance Specialists for our wedding at Paradise Cove. My FI and I are on a budget, so I liked their affordable coordination packages. Dawn is flexible to customize and her team works with a variety of locations.
