5. Why Hawai'i? I'm Canadian, he's English, we have friends and family all over the world. People were going to have to travel no matter what, so we decided to make everyone travel. Plus, it allowed us to share one of our favourite places in the world with our friends and family.
6. Wedding colours: Aqua and Tangerine (I was going for sun meets sea)
7. How did you meet your FI?: We met in 2004 on the JET Programme in Japan! We'd eached moved from our respective countries, became close friends and then it became something more. He makes me laugh several times a day.

Life

1. Where you live: We live in Toronto, downtown, where it's going up to 48º with the humidex tomorrow (That's 118ºF). Shoot me now! Our a/c is making a terrible groaning noise.
2. What you do for a living: I'm a drama and English teacher at a junior high school (7-9), and in September I'm also taking on the role of arts department head!
3. Do you have any pets?: No, but when we have more room, we're totally getting kittens.
4. What kind of high school student were you?: Drama kid. English nerd. And fat. Until I went through an anxiety phase when I couldn't eat. Then I was nerdy.
5. Did you go to college/university? Where? I've been to three universities, Carleton, UVictoria (BC) and UToronto. I'm currently in school in the mornings doing classes at UofT to get my drama specialist designation.
6. Do you have kids? Do you want kids? No kids, but we're going to start trying next month. I'm totally terrified out of my mind.
7. Favourite TV show: Right now, True Blood. I'm just getting into Game of Thrones, and am really enjoying it!
8. Best book you've read in the last 6 months: I just finished reading the graphic novel Persepolis. It was AMAZING.
9. Any hobbies?: I love to cook (I have a food blog), read and (this sounds so pretentious) go to the theatre. I'm also madly in love with travelling.
10. Scared of anything?: Somewhat ironically, flying. Which makes my love of travelling stressful. Oh! And I can't stand the feeling of cornstarach. It makes my armhairs raise. UGH.

We wanted to have a desitnation wedding, but in the U.S. so I didn't have to look into how to make it legal (& family wouldn't have to worry about passorts) so Hawaii was the only logical choice for us. Even though we keep joking that we wished we would have just gotten married without everyone & all the planning in Turks & Caicos where we got engaged.

7. How did you meet your FI?: We were both on the St. Patrick's Day Barfly bus in 2007. I so picked him up and then made out with him all night.  Two days later we ran right into each other as he was coming out of a coffee shop and I was going in.  We made plans to hang out the next night and the rest is history.

1. Where you live: Portland, OR. In the cutest neighborhood full of 60's ranch houses and shaped trees and bushes.  I feel like we live in the Edward Scissorhands neighborhood.
2. What you do for a living:I'm a child specific recruiter.  In other words, I find families to adopt children waiting in foster care.

4. What kind of high school student were you?: I guess I was all over the place. Cheerleader, drama, choir and dance committee. I was bored in school academically and would only do enough to pass my classes.  It would really frustrate my teachers because any time we would do testing I would test at college level, but wouldn't perform to that level in their classrooms. HA!
5. Did you go to college/university? Where? Yes.  First I went to Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, CA and then I went to Portland State University in Portland, OR.
6. Do you have kids? Do you want kids? I have one daughter who will be 17 next month. FI and I do not want any other children. We worship our alone time and are not willing to give it up.

7. How did you meet your FI?: I met him while I was studying abroad. We were both at a small event with mutual friends~ he started up a conversation, and rather unexpectedly, we hit it off and hung out together the entire night! A week later we were dating.

Dan is into old hot rods, so we take his car to car shows and cruise nights. We go to the movies a lot, and I my best friend lives near by, so we go do stuff with her and her fiance a lot.

4. Wedding location: Ko' Olina - Paradise Cove Crystal Chapel and reception to follow at a private vacation house. We will be hosting a bigger reception for ones who were unable to attend.

5. Why Hawaii? My fiance and I just wanted a small, intimate wedding where we could spend time with our guests instead of stressing over entertaining 300+ guest for a wedding back home. It just happens so fast we  wanted to be able to enjoy every minute of our special day.

7. How did you meet your FI?: Deron and I met in high school - I was dating his friend at the time (freshman year) and told my BFF I was going to marry Deron someday! Who would have thought 10 years later it would come true! We started dating 4 years later but both were in different parts of our lives and priorities were different. We were separated (didn't talk) for over 4 and a half years - reunited and have never been happier! Can't wait to marry my high school sweetheart!

1. Where you live: Fort Myers, FL but only short-term. (Moved here for school and plan to move back home to MO.)

2. What you do for a living: Radiologic/CT Technologist - I perform 

x-rays and cat scans. 

3. Do you have any pets?: I have a black lab named Beemer living back home with my parents while I finish school. I miss him terribly but he would probably rather be running on 120 acres in the country than stuck in a condo all day with no room to play.

less than 5 months until I am completely finished. I received my Bachelors in Radiography from Missouri State University May 2009 - I will complete Radiation Therapy (Cancer Treatment) school December of this year.

5. Why Hawai'i? Wanted outdoors, but weather here is not very reliable.  Also trying to cut down the guest list without offending family we don't see for years.  Finally, couldn't find a Caribbean island we agreed on and we've both been to Hawaii (I grew up going there every year)
6. Wedding colours: None, tropical, haven't decided yet??  I think whatever our flowers are (tropical, in season) and go with matching that
7. How did you meet your FI?: set up - FI works with a guy and I played roller derby with his wife.  FI was invited out to watch and saw me in hot pants and fish nets, and asked about me.  His co-worker told his wife and she thought set-up, and that was that.
