Tell me about your wedding

We are looking to get married in Hawaii but I am having a hard time nailing down a island and an idea of a venue. I have looked at posts but really havnt found what I am looking for yet. I would love to hear what your opinions are on the following questions...

* where did you get married, venue, outdoor/indoor... and any info you want to add to it.
* How many guests
* Did you have a WC and did you find it helpful? Was it full service or day of?
* anything you did or your guests did that you would recommend (beaches, surfing, helicopter tours... ect.)
Mom to former 30 weeker born early to Pre-E. Now happy, health and growing at home!

    Much of this info is in my bio.  I found HI knotties' bios to be extremely helpful resources when planning our wedding, so you should definitely look at as many as you can.

    My wedding and honeymoon review is only 2 or 3 posts down and it's really thorough... I'd check it out.

    I think Maui is by far the best island. We had a blast. There were a few people on our flight that only went to the Big Island and actually did not have a good time. Everyone kept telling them that Maui is the best and if they get a chance to go back to Hawaii they should go there :)

    I haven't had my wedding, yet. Can't answer all of these questions, but I can answer some. You can also find lots of info in my bio. We are getting married on Maui at Mama's Fish House. Our ceremony will be outside on the beach and the reception both outside and inside. There will be 21 ppl, including us. No WC, at all. Going to be spending a day at the beach, snorkeling, have a welcome BBQ, do a sunset dinner cruise, go to a luau and have a day after brunch with our guests. Like I said before, lots more details on my bio and on my wedding site, too.

    Maybe you could tell us what you are looking for and then people could provide suggestions based on that info?

    I have only been to Oahu and it was great. There was so much to do. Given that I am getting married in Maui because no one who is coming (including me and FI) have ever been there so I wanted it to be a new experience for everyone.

    The Hawaii bride calendar list actually has a pretty decent history of many Hawaii Knotties and their wedding dates & locations:

    http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/local-wedding-boards_hawaii_hawaii-bride-calendar-1

    Based on the venues you see listed, you can Google for photos, and check the Knotties' bio pages for additional details.  I agree with Lorena - if you share what you're looking for, we can target some suggestions - eg, beach ceremony, resort reception, morning/sunset.
