Dining in South Maui

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to eat our wedding night? 10 people total. We are staying in the Wailea area. I would like something with maybe a little bit of privacy. Gannon's is booked for our date.

Anything else around there that y'all could recommend? I would like something nice- maybe around $40/entree.... Somewhere with a semi-private dining area would be perfect.

Thanks ladies!

  • A lot of girls have loved Five Palms in Kihei.  Personally, we LOVED Duo at the Four Seasons in Wailea, great food, great view, great service!  But, they are pricey.

  • Thanks! I'll definitely take a look into those
  • We had our welcome dinner at Mala at the Wailea Marriott.  Their Buddha Room allows for private dining -- we sat 12 of us at one table.  The room is open air, and has a nice view of the sunset.  Their group events manager, Whitney, is fantastic.

  • Thanks for the suggestion! Our photographer also recommended Mala. Were you happy with the service and food there? We were going to do Gannon's but they don't have any semiprivate space available.
  • Sorry - just seeing this now!  Yes, we were very happy with the service, and happy enough with the food.  We are massive food snobs (seriously) so I think we're unfair judges, but I remember thinking it really wasn't bad.  We didn't get to eat much b/c the meal ran long and we were hosting welcome cocktails, but they packed everything for us and even let us come back later in the week for the dessert we missed.  All in all, I would definitely host there again.
