We booked both our reception and ceremony there.  We're going to have the maile garden and our reception will be in the DeRussy ballroom.  At first it was going to be in the Waikiki ballroom but after looking at the amount of people we would invite we decided to go up stairs.  I didn't want to be stuck with having all rectangular tables.  Did you get any confirmation from them after you sent in your payment?  I'm hoping that they got it haha.

I know ben & maila...i am very excited for that.  I told todd since we cannot get married at koolau ballrooms i want them for entertainment hehe. how's things on your end?  the days are flying by huh?

Good move with the DeRussy Ballroom...our guestlist expanded and I am going to try to squeeeeze my round tables in the Waikiki Ballroom.  I think the privacy and layout upstairs is a little better too.  I didn't get a chance to see either room when I booked, but after attending my friend's wedding in the DeRussy, I tried to switch to the DeRussy.  They said I could, but the next date available was in May, so I decided to just stick with Waikiki.  They did send me a receipt for my payment (sent snail mail).

I was pretty laid-back through the whole planning process, but now that it is less than a month away, I am starting to stress a little.  Just a lot of things to think about!  Are you going to start going to the Wednesday workshops?  Have fun!

I really like the waikiki ballroom.  I love the lights and its more intimate there so i would have loved to stay there but it just wouldn't work  I love reading your blog too.  I liked your last make up and hair trial.  Glad to see that dorys is getting better reviews than before.  I'm still not sure who we're going with.  I'm thinking about going to wednesday night workshops... i'm just not sure if i can get out of my classroom in ewa to make it to ward in time hehe.  will you be going to any? are you going to the wedding expo? kinda too late for ideas for you...but i love to go just to see what's there hehe i hope i am not one of those people who still go after i'm married hehe

I notice you two kkep talking about Hale Koa whenever I search it. You guys know
any good vendors for lighting and pipe and drape? How is the cake they serve? I am in waikiki ballroom and groom in local boy but we live in TX, how is the ballroom? I booked it by trsuted pix. My first choice was ihilani and sheraton waikiki but too pricey and all these minimums they have. Ok let me know!
