Honua Kai Resort on Maui

Does anybody know if they hold wedding ceremonies and receptions at the Honua Kai Resort?  I know that Duke's can hold receptions, but I am concerned that a holding our reception at Duke's might not be the right mood.

We are expecting 50-75 people and would love a wedding on Kauai or Maui.  Honua Kai looks beautiful, but I can't find any information about anyone who has actually held a reception there.

Any information would be helpful.  Even if it's a suggestion of another place.

When I called them they passed me to 4 different people who then referred me back to the operator. 50 people or less you get 2 hours somewhere on their grounds (includes set-up and break-down) $1000. I didn't like that they weren't too knowledgeable when I had questions but their grounds are amazing!

When i first started planning Dukes was an option for me to hold a reception there.  I think Aliblu is having her reception at Dukes.  I remember reading that you could have the reception on the lawn or maybe that was a cocktail hour.  Hmmm.... What kind of ambiance are your going for?

I want the reception to have food, alcohol, a DJ, and dancing.  We expect around 65 people, but that number could go up.  Since most restaurants won't let you have a DJ, we need someplace where my guests could dance.  That is why I thought a lawn or room at the Honua Kai may work, but I'm not sure they have any.

Did you ever find any more info on this? I stayed at this resort last March and fell in love and knew exactly thats wherr I wanted to get married! Dukes seems like the exact type of place I would want my reception as well - music and dancing already set up!
