FI and I went and signed the papers to finalize the purchase of our home yesterday evening. Its official FI and I are are officially financially responsible for a house for the next 30 years. That slap of reality was when the escrow lady told us our last payment if we choose to just go by the schedule is August of 2041. '41! Yikes... hopefully FI and I can stick with the plan of making extra payments and having it paid off earlier.
I needed this to happen so badly, we are currently staying at FI's parents house with his parents and 4 siblings and as much as I love his family I was going nuts there. Seriously I thought I was going to choke some one last weekend. I can't wait to get started in fixing and remodeling the house and moving in there. YAY!!!! Thanks for letting me *squee* for a bit I needed it.
