Breadfruit on Oahu?

Any locals know where I can find Breadfruits on Oahu? My fiance and I are OBSESSED with Breadfruit and we really want to incorporate some of these beautiful green babies into our centerpieces, so if you have seen it or know roughly where a Farmer's Market that we can get it at might be let me know!

Wow - your post brings back a ton of memories.  I used to eat breadfruit all the time growing up!  My grandparents had a tree, so that's where we got ours.

There are farmer's markets in Kailua on Thursday (morning and evening)....I dont know where you are staying, but I could give you directions if you wanted to check those out.  The markets in Chinatown might be worth a look as well.

Awesome! We're staying in Waimanalo in Dec for our planning trip, and then in Ka'a'wa May when we come back to the wedding, I would love to hear where the markets in Kailua are! We are so stoked! Breadfruit!!!

The morning farmers market is in the parking lot at the recreation center at 32 South Kainalu Drive, Kailua HI  96734.  Its only an hour, from 9 - 10am.  It will be obvious from Kainalu once you get there, people are parked all over the place, etc.

The afternoon farmers market is in the parking garage of Longs Drugs at 591 Kailua Road, Kailua HI 96734.  5-7pm

I hope they have breadfruit when you go - otherwise Ill feel bad getting your hopes up!  Maybe someone knows of other markets, these are the only ones I ever go to!

this is amazing! If we could have breadfruit it would be awesome! If not we'll figure something out and be just as happy, but hopefully with your recommendations we can have a great table centerpiece!
