Kapalua, Maui: Need Amateur Photographer

Hi ladies,

I will be tying the knot on Kapalua Bay Beach on 12/12/12 in the morning/early afternoon.

After contacting many (MANY) photographers, I've realized that I need to figure out how to keep this wedding inexpensive and well within my budget. The only people at the ceremony will be my fiance and I therefore there's no way we will need a photographer for more than an hour. However, we can't seem to find one under $500, so now I am trying to find an amateur photographer, even a student will work. (as long as they don't take a picture like my grandma!) We don't even need editing or prints (my fiance is a graphic designer so he knows how to edit)

If you ladies know of anyone who can possibly do this, please let me know.

We used Amy J Short Photography.  She was fabulous and within your budget.  She is in the process of updating her website so its not working very well <a href="http://www.amyjshort.com/" rel="nofollow">www.amyjshort.com</a>   Our picture is the one in the tree on the front page =)

I know that is a very popular date, if she is not available she may be able to recommend someone.  She is very helpful!

I would try to contact some of the companies that offer wedding packages. Often times they have a photographer. They may be able to just just photography services for you. You could also try www.snapm.com which is a website for amateur photographers who are building their businesses. If neither of those work maybe contacting the college and seeing if they have any photography students interested. Good luck!

Contact Matthew Nall at Maui Creative Photography. They are new to Maui and are looking to establish themselves.  We are using them in November and have been very happy so far.

Marbelle Photography may be within your budget. I got married on the same beach in May and Jenn from Marbelle did a great job!
