quick Question

So quick question. FI and I are in closing on our first house like a week after we get home from Maui. Our lender said as soon as we get back she needs a copy of our marriage certificate. Will I have one before I leave? I thought those take time to come? Thanks!!

Even with an expedited copy you're going to need to wait 3-6 weeks. We're closing on a house next month and are doing it in both of our names as an unmarried couple and then doing the name change paperwork after the wedding.

Thats what I thought. Its not a big deal to me if its my current last name on the morgtage or not right away I just want to be in our own house!! Thanks!!
