My fiance and I spent Christmas in Kauai 2 years ago and we decided then that when we were ready to tie the knot, it would be there. Well last night he gave me the go ahead to start planning!
We plan on having a very small wedding on Kauai then having a reception with family and friends when we return home. It will only be us and about 10 people there for the ceremony. We've decided the location to be at Secret Beach and I think I have a couple of choices for an officiant (we are non-religious).
Of course we don't have a huge budget. $3,000 alone in airfare/hotel/car rental so we are trying to do it as cheap as possible but have decided to spend more on a photographer. Can anyone suggest a good one? I'm thinking we would only need one for about an hour, looking for someone that takes great photos as well as good rates.
Also, any good salons for hair/makeup on the north side of the island? Also looking for a good place to get a bouquet and boutonniere from (small and simple).
I think we are going to stay at The Orchid Room in Princeville for the week and it will be end of September, early October wedding. From what I've read that seems to be the off season and I'm hoping the best weather wise!
