Wedding Favors

I realized on my way to work this morning that my wedding is 82 days away and I still have a ton to do...AND I just realized I have not even thought about wedding favors. We are having a small wedding (10-14 ppl) and I am not sure what I should should do for favors.

Any ideas?

We are giving all of our guests out of town bags at the welcome party and little bags of macadamia nut heresy kisses at each of their place settings at the reception.

We did Maui Wow-wee bars for our AHR favor. Our wedding was just us and our parents so their parent gifts were their favors

We did a pretty large out of town / welcome bag, and no favors the actual night of the reception.  We did one bag per couple / family but put enough items in for every attendee (eg, parents + kid = 3 bottles of water, juice)

ok! This is great feedback. I am doing OOT and was not sure if I needed to do anything additional at the reception. Maybe something small like chocolates...I like that. Thanks ladies!

We are doing OOT bags at the Welcome BBQ and right now thinking of making sugar scrubs in small jars for the adult favors.  We also have under 20 people so I wanted to really individualize them. The kids, 4 under 5 yrs, are all getting small metal lunch boxes with their names painted on them and sea themed toys inside. FI spent a lot of time painting them in our colors to match the decor. We figure this will keep them busy during the reception.

We gave everyone a purple orchid lei at our wedding and a luahala box filled with pineaple shaped short bread cookies from the Hawaiian cookie company. Mmmmm they were delicious!!

We are doing pretty large OOT bags and then giving everyone leis at the wedding.

We did OOT bags and nixed the reception favours too!

We are doing fans at the ceremony (I hear they come in VERY handy in Maui) and then these ( http://www.weddingstar.com/product/natural-miniature-woven-beach-bags) with some kind of candies or cookies in them.

Still trying to decide on OOT bags.  Most of our guests wouldn't use anything we put in them so we are thinking of just getting some wine at Costco and giving every couple a bottle when they come to our welcome BBQ.

We're creating welcome bags as well. I picked out material at the fabric store and asked my mother and future mother in law to sew them for me. (They both like to sew). Here's a photo of a completed one:


During reception, we're hiring a flipbook vendor for 2 hours and the guest can keep the flipbooks they make as their favors. You can customize the covers too, so we're going to use our logo for that.

Did you purchase the items for your OOT bags in Hawaii? Or, did you ship them to Hawaii beforehand? I was thinking of going to Costco and ABC store when we arrive to arrange our OOT bags.
