I had a shower back in May, and because my mom and sister were hosting, they decided the guest list based on their budget. I had originally wanted to invite all of FI's family, but the cost would have been too much, so only FI's immediate family and grandmother were invited. There was no mention from FI's mom or stepmom about another shower, probably also because of the cost, and I did not ask about one.
Yesterday, FI's aunt asked me if their family could host a shower for me on July 7. They said everyone wanted to celebrate with me and that they would love to host a gathering in my honor. I was so touched! I really don't care about the gifts, but it means a lot that they want to do this. I'm also really excited to see everyone because it's been a few months since we've all been together and this might be the only opportunity to hang out before my wedding.
