Kona, HI- please help!

Hi all! I'm new to the board so my apologies if this has come up before. We are having a destination wedding to Kona, Hawaii. Does anyone have any input on locations/vendors, etc? Anything will help as we are in the beginning stages of planning. We will be getting married September 2013.

I'm planning my July 2013 wedding too! I just booked the Marriott but have nothing else arranged yet. Have you started researching photographers? I'm curious if you found anyone that you like. Deb

Sorry, I haven't been on this site for a while. Still doing research on reception sites, photographers, etc. I'm also concerned about hair/makeup! I'm becoming more aware how difficult it is to arrange services for such an important day when you can't go around in person to see everything first hand. Kinda stressful!!

We are looking at July 2013 in Kona too! We have a very tight budget for our 25 guests. Im in full on research mode, but feeling very overwhelmed. We are trying to stay away from resorts, as they seem to be over our price range. Any advice on other locations?

Hi ladies,

I'm excited to see more weddings being held in Kona. 

Our wedding came and went and if I could, I would relive it all over again. After a few hiccups, our wedding turned out PERFECT! Our wedding was on 4/20/12 in Kona, HI. I have posted serveral posts on this board about what vendors I was going to use although I never posted a vendor review....my bad.
