Table seating plan- Bringing on the plane?

Hi All,
We are working on all the nitty gritty details now! Only 40 days till the big day! I was thinking yesterday about our seating chart. At most weddings I have been to it has been on a larger poster board put on an easel. Any tips or advice on what you other destination brides have done? I would love to have this all done before we leave, but the thought of bringing a huge seating chart along with everything else we need to bring is a bit daunting, let alone it will probably get bent and ruined on the plane...

I was thinking of either printing in Oahu, in that case any good printing places suggested, or if there is another unique idea to create a seating chart once we get to Hawaii that would be great too!

I'm not sure how many guests you are having, but we had only 37 so we were able to do it on an 8x10 and I just carried it with me.  I put it in a frame that I also carried with me.
There are lots of ideas on Pinterest of seating plans.  Depending on the wind, you culd do escort cards.  I didn't because the chance of wind blowing them around was too high.
    Good luck!

I loved the idea of having one big poster board/chalkboard, but it was too cumbersome to even bring, so I did this instead:

    Hope that helps!

If not, I suggest having it printed when you get there. That's what we did for our welcome packets just so we didn't have to lug anymore than we needed to.

Thanks guys for your advice. I think I will ask my wedding coordinator if I send her the file if she can get it printed for us somewhere and I will just pay her back. So many small details that you don't even think about having a destination wedding until you are only a few weeks away. :-)

We uploaded the file to our FTP server (or Dropbox, or whatever).  Once on island, we sent it to the local Costco to be printed and just drove over to pick it up.  Quality was great, too!  We bought a frame to fit at Target / Walmart / Michaels, I think, and our WC provided an easel.
