Well, the wedding is done and gone with…it was bittersweet, but wonderful. My niece was admitted into Pediatric ICU 1 week before my wedding. She is still there and thus was not at the wedding. It was heartbreaking not to have her, (her mother was my MoH) she still does not know that she missed the wedding. Although the wedding went off without her, it was still a great evening save for a few things… which I will get to later. Manor House Flowers- Mandy Merriman A What can I say about Mandy…She is utterly fantastic! She created flower bouquets that were amazing. Her prices were great because she works out of her home. She went into detail about each flower and how they go together. It is very obvious she is passionate about what she does. She even had a baby about a month before my wedding, and she was contacting me soon after she returned home to work on my flowers. She works with whatever ideas you bring her and has amazing ideas of her own. Mandy created my centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres’, and a memorial table piece for the parent’s table, all for under $700 (it might have actually been lower…). Also, when the husband and I got to our table, there was a little Jack and Sally (from Nightmare Before Christmas) clay sculpture that she had created as a little gift for us. Honestly, Mandy is fan-freakin-tastic. She is the best and anyone would be lucky to have her as their florist. Your Day Done Your Way- Darla Hostler A Darla is another one we could not have done without. We told her what we wanted, and she created a wonderful and meaningful ceremony that no one will forget. Her microphone went out about a quarter of the way thru the ceremony, and she did not miss a beat. She is the consummate professional, and even with her computer crashing a few days before our wedding, she had the whole thing ready and waiting to go at the rehearsal. So many people recommended her to me when I first started looking, and I am so glad they did. It is very clear why everyone loves her.
