How do I make this bridesmaid dress rewearable?

Other than taking it in as it's too big (miles on the bust and waist) and raising the hem slightly to just skimming the top of the knee.

I want to turn it into a fun number to go out for cocktails in...

You are so cute!! What about some fun jeweled / rhinestoney straps? I'm picturing a soft gold or shimmery bronze aaccent. Helps keep it up & worry free and takes away some of the unicolor bridesmaidy feel.

Straps would be a great idea! I like it.

Totally agree with Tanq - straps would make a great addition!  I would dress it up with some sparkly, chunky, vitage-y jewelry (JCrew has some great pieces!).  If it gets chilly, you could add a scarf or pashimina shawl.

Btw, I LOVE the dress!!  The color is one of my favs!  :)

I'm a big fan too, fabutan! It's the exact colour of my eyes!

This may be totally off the wall, but could you find a contrasting color/fabric and change out the sash or add a fun hem?  I know nothing about dress design, but it might be cute?

Hello! Cute dress and a pretty color!

Would you be able to remove the bow at the side? There is a seam ripper that works wonders and won't ruin the dress if you're extra careful.  You can add a nice belt and shorten the hem to get a more casual/cocktail look.

You can even shorten the hem and find a fabric that is similar but a different color and sew that on to change the look completely.

Adding some straps would also work.

A few accessories here and there and you're set!
