**kaesha**

I think it's your pic of the cranes on the fishing line dangling from the arch that I love so much...

We're both Japanese and the crane is a strong part of our culture. I am tying into our theme somewhat. We aren't big flower people (mostly because we hate to see them go to waste after the day of), so I don't see the archway getting a lot of flowers, but I have always wanted to decorate it with strings of cranes and crystals.  My vision keeps changing and now it's kind of a fuzzy vision--maybe varying size cranes and scattered on the line--since in my vision they will be alternating on the line with crystals.  Actually, my mom found some relatively inexpensive glass beads, so I might use those.

Did you have problems with the strings tangling in the wind or did you attach it to something on the bottom end?  That was part of the reason I wanted to weight the lines with crystals to begin with.  I might even put a chandelier cyrstal at the end to add a little extra weight but I could use some insight from someone who's already done it.

I attached a fishing weight to the end of each line to keep them from getting too crazy in the wind. It's definitely necessary! The weight was pretty heavy, but I think we could have gone even heavier - the wind was super blustery that day. You'll probably need more than a glass bead.
