Ka Anapali Beach Hotel

Can anyone PLEASE tell me if this is a good hotel. Considering it because it is cheaper, but the others around seem soooo much nicer. Does any one have any opinions??

    A lot of people I work with like this place b/c it's good for families. It LOOKED older when we walked by it, but I can't tell you what the rooms are like or anything. We liked the Royal Lahaina. It's just west of Black Rock & it was quiet, hawaiian style too, but we felt the beach was much less crowded in this part than at Kaanapali beach hotel. I hope that hleps a little :-/

    We are staying there for the 2nd half of our Maui trip. We read some great reviews and if you tell them you're on your honeymoon when you book you get a complimentary room upgrade. We decided to pay for one of the mid-grade rooms so we'll get a decent upgrade.

    Thank you both for your responses. It really helps to have someone elses views on these things. MELMAC26 can you tell me anything about the oceanview cottages?? are they open to the grounds so that you can go out to the ocean?
