how did you girls transport your weddign dress??

I carried it on the airplane.  It was on the hanger, inside the fabric garment bag the dress came with.  I rolled it into a garment bag so I could carry it through the airport on my shoulder, and quickly pull it out to lay flat while waiting to board, and also to hang in the first class closet.

I flew Alaska Air and they took my dress and put it in the First Class closet.  There was another bride on the flight and they even said congratulations to us and gave us nut lei's.  I thought they were really great about it. 

On the way home I put my dress in the Rubbermaid tub with all of our wedding supplies.  It was in there for a month cause m y MIL transported it and I took it out of the bag the other week and it's still *perfect* - I guess I could have shoved it in my bag, although I would never have done that on the way there!

I carried my dress through the airport and folded it up and put it in the overhead bin because our plane had no first class and no closets (west jet) our WC hooked us up with a lady who steamed it anyways so it was all good.

I plan to transport my two dresses on the plane with me...i`m hoping to hang my wedding dress in the first class closet along with FI`s suit and lay my TTD dress in the overhead compartment. Will do the same on the way back as well unless my TTD dress is damaged and i cannot resell it then i may just pack it if we have the room. HTH! J. :-)

I'm planning on carrying mine on in the garment bag. Though, at Alfred Angelo they keep telling me to get one of those vacuum seal bags and doing that.

I've never heard of anyone doing that though so I probably won't.

I folded into a roll on carry on luggage! Way less of a pain & i steamed it when we got to HI

I'll probably carry mine and then toss it in the overhead compartment on top of my family's carry ons. We plan on all sitting together and taking up an overhead section if we can.

Took it on the plane as a carry on, and mailed it back after the wedding.
