I have 4 weeks to go until our trip to Maui!!! So far we have been able to schedule all our vendor meetings in the first two days leaving the last two days free and clear!!!

Any suggestions on what we should do?? It's my first time going.

Minister check and update...our coordinator was able to get Pia to lower his rate and it will only cost us $75 extra to get him. Booked! One less thing to worry about.

Finally, this Sat we are having FI's sister and niece over to helps us complete the MIB STD's. We figured it will be a good way to spend some time together and make some memories. While they are over I plan on officially asking his niece to be our flower girl. She is the only child in the family and I know she would be thrilled to be a part of our day.

How exciting!  I highly suggest keeping a few days clear to just enjoy and relax.  Some suggestions:

1.  Cake tasting - so fun!

2.  Watch the sunset at your venue - our venue let us have a picnic at sunset on a free night at no charge.  Pretty special & romantic.

3.  Do some fun island activities -- Road to Hana (and the hike at the end!), sunset at Haleakala, ziplining, etc.  It also helps you come up with activity suggestions for guests

4.  Go to the beach / pool and just unwind

5.  Eat lots of yummy food.   Hali'imaile General Store is my favorite for a special dinner.  Mala is another awesome one but pricey.  Da Kitchen is affordable and yummy (near the airport).

6.  Wedding related, but canvas Walmart & Costco for ideas on welcome bag stuffers.

How exciting! I am glad you were able to get your minister to come down on the additional cost. And I can't wait to see your STDs.

A cake tastng would be a must! Also try some of the restaurants you are considering for your dinner reception. That way you can get an idea of the atmosphere and food at dinner.

I heard the road to Hana is amazing. So since it takes awhile and it will be just the two of you and you don't have any guests to entertain, this would be a great time to do it.

If you want something more exciting than the road to Hana and WAY less busy, do the north-west highway from Kapalua around. You can stop at the blowhole and the Olivine Pools... but be sure to keep going! All of our guests preferred it to the road to Hana.

Also - Kahekili Beach (north of Black Rock) for swimming.

Fun! We are doing a planning trip, too. Can't wait! Sounds like everyone's given you some great ideas. I would recommend checking-out anything place you are going to be recommending to guests.

Yay! So much fun!

For next week, we're meeting with a couple DJs, our officiant, going to Olowalu, and 3 cake tastings. I was able to pack everything in 2 days, as well, leaving the rest of the week for fun stuff!

We are going to ziplining and kayaking in turtle town (near Makena). The FI and I did the kayaking/snorkel tour last year at turtle town and it was awesome!

I've done Haleakala when I was younger and I remember it so distinctly, so I suggest you do that! Watch the sunrise atop Haleakala. 

Eat at The Gazebo for breakfast, but line up super early. Make sure you go to Zippy's and try the orange bang. Yum.

I agree with Tanq--Hali'imale General Store was delicious. We also tried Paia Fish Market and that was very yummy.

One morning last year, we went paragliding and the landing zone was right next to Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm. So after paragliding, we waited a few minutes for them to open, took a tour, and ate lavender scones and drank lavender arnold palmers. Yum!

Also, if you're a foodie, down the road from the lavender farm is O'o Farm, which supplies fresh veggies for Pacific'O and and I'O restaurants. We did the tour and lunch thing, which was so fun! Got to pick our own veggies and the chef from Pacific'O whipped up a delicious lunch for all of us. The next night, we went to Pacific'O, and if you mention you went to O'o Farm, they thow in a little extra stuff! So cool! Farm to table dining experiences are so much fun.
