Music on the beach?

Okay, as I posted earlier today, my South Maui beach wedding is six weeks away. Since it's just the two of us, I'm not too concerned with details, but there are a few things we've decided are really important to us. Like photos, for example.

My fiance is reallly interested in the music for our ceremony and we've arranged to have a solo guitarist. Here's my question: is having a solo musician on the beach worth it? WIll we be able to hear the music, or will the wind overpower it either way? I'm nervous that it won't be worth the expense because we either won't hear it or won't be paying attention to it.

Thoughts?

I am having a musician on the beach as well - Randy Allen - he is amazing and he is bringing a small sound system - he told me that it was not really necessary but it will make it sound sooo much better!  Just a thought.

The waves crashing can be a bit loud, so I am with spappano - maybe check into getting a small sound system.
