Wedding at the Outrigger Reef

Hi there,
Has anyone had their ceremony/reception at the outrigger reef voyageur deck?  My finance and I are booked to get married there, but I actually haven't seen the venue up close.  We saw the pics online and the price seemed reasonable so we just went for it sight unseen.  Any feedback?
Thanks!

    hey there!

we will be having our ceremony and reception on the voyager deck in October! I've never seen the deck in person and judged it based on the pictures I've seen as well as comments from local photographers who have shot weddings there. According to the photographers, it's a beautiful setting, especially during sunset. Cara has also been really great to work with. My DoC also used to work there so that will help a lot as well.

I'll be glad to update after our date and let you know how it goes! Let me know what you're email is and when your date is and congrats!

    Hi Cher,

Yes, I've been there many times. It is absolutely beautiful. I thought about doing my wedding reception there as well, but they limit the reception to 80 guests or so, otherwise I probably would have. Are you doing both ceremony and reception there?

    Hey Cher,
We just got back from a planning trip, and we're using te Voyager Deck.  It was amazing!!  We loved the view, and saw it set up with reception tables, wedding ceremony and tent.  We kind of stalked it over several days to see the different settings.
It's a bit smaller than I thought, about 50 by maybe 100 feet.  There's plenty of light and built in speakers.  The view was beautiful.  The only things you see from further back are the tops of palm trees and the ocean/sky.  If you go to the end of the deck, you see the beach, but as it's 3 stories below, you don't really hear people.  Just the waves.
The ceremony set up had petals laid out, which looked great.  The tent fit nicely (was a 30x50, normal tent is 30x30) and having tables and no tent was also great with the open space.  Good luck!!

Hi everyone!  Thanks for all of your input I really appreciate it and feel WAY better about my choice.  I tend to be a bit impulsive but had a good feeling.  :)  Yes, I am having both the ceremony and reception there.  Plus, most likely we will be staying in the hotel as well.  It's a bit pricey to stay but I figure it's a special occasion.

One more question...has anyone bought their own alcohol?  Seems like they allow it but I'm not sure if it's worth it b/c of the corking/prep fee.

    Thanks again!

    Hey Cheri,

We were considering on bringing in our own alcohol from Costco, but I think after all the fees, it will come out to be more expensive. I believe they waive the fees if you hit $750 in alcohol, which is about 4 beers a person for 25 people. I think it depends on how many guests you will have and if they are big drinkers.
