Indoor Winter Engagement Photo Locations

Help!  I've got a friend who's fiance is from COlumbus and they are doing their engagement photos here and are looking for some ideas for inside locations since it finally decided to get cold.  Thanks!

  • Franklin Park Conservatory would be gorgeous, but you'd probably have to pay the admission fees and I've heard they aren't the nicest about photos being taken there.  The North Market might be a fun option, too, on a not so crowded day.

Well... what type of look are they into? If they want it to look like they're outside then the conservatory (or maybe even the zoo) might be good choices.

There are also tons of historic buildings... Are they into urban exploration? There are a number of interesting abandoned buildings as well.

The city and metro parks have plenty of shelter houses/structures. There are covered bridges....
  • We got our pictures in May, but our photographer has indoor "back up" locations selected in case it rained.  On our list we had the Columbus Art Museum, Jeni's Ice Cream, some historic buildings downtown, statehouse, etc.
