Renting vases on Oahu

Does anyone know of a place that rents glass cylinder vases?  I've contacted Accel and Event Essentials, neither of them do.  They suggested Flora-Dec, Ben Franklin or Walmart, but my issue is then what to do with the vases after the wedding.  We're doing groupings of 5-6 with submerged orchids and calla lilies (pib if anyone's interested).  I don't want to ship that many vases back to MN ($$$$), but I don't know if I want to hope I get lucky and find someone on craigslist who will buy them in the few days we'll be there between the wedding and the trip home.

Or, does anyone want to go in on some vases? Smile

How many vases do you need?  I have a few left over that you could use/borrow.  I think they are about 15" high...I think there's a pic in my blog.  I did submerged orchids too.  If you do decide to buy, I found the cheapest place to be Ross (about $6/vase)...you just have to be lucky when you go.

Are you working with a florist?  They usually rent vases, I think...

How many do you have Jaymers?  I'm not sure how many we need yet, but I could probably take them off your hands.  It wouldn't be until September though.  Thanks!

No florist, we're DIYing the flower stuff ourselves.  The submerged orchid centerpieces seems pretty easy to do.  We're gonna do some trials at home in a bit here to make sure we can do it easy enough.

Good question...i was pondering on this topic as well. We plan on using a simple square or round 6-8 in tall vases but don't know what to do with them afterwords.

I don't have too many...just the extras I had since our guests took the centerpieces home.  Let me check with my mom...

I am planning on doing the same thing - DIY centerpieces with the 8-inch cylindrical vases.

I asked one of the florists (Sweet Leilani) how much they rent the vases for, and they quoted me $7/vase to rent, and $15/vase if it breaks.

So, I went to Walmart in Waikiki, and I found some 8 inch cylindrical vases for only $4 each!  Even though I will probably have a lot of out of town guests that may not take them home, it's worth saving the money and buying the vases outright.
