Another question..

We really dont need the small material items that u generally get for weddings. we are in need of larger items such as New Furniture :) whatt would be a decent way of saying "we need Money"? or would it be acceptible to register at a furniture co?

We're kind of in the same position, so I'm not sure if I'm the best person to answer this question, but I'll just tell you what we're going to do. First of all, you can't "ask" for money. I wish you could, but you can't, so what we're doing is still registering for the few small things that we need, but we'll keep it to a minimum. That way there will be options for the people who like to buy off the registry. I think people will get the idea that we'd rather have cash that way, too.

Oh, it's also acceptable to have your friends and family suggest cash gifts to your guests. Example... Susie Q to MOH: "I'm so excited about hestheoneforme's wedding! I'm not sure what to get them, though..." MOH: Well, they're registered at Target, but what they'd really like and is money to buy a new couch."

    Hope this helps a little!

I would definitely get a few wingmen to suggest it to people like Thea said.  Otherwise, it's really hard to suggest to people.
