Have you put any money down yet? If not, then sure I'd find another place if it  doesn't look the same way to you anymore. But if you might lose a lot of money by changing venues, I would just try to remember that next year it will look completely different for your wedding.  Good luck with the cleanup efforts.

<div>I concur.  WIth the way they're getting Cullman cleaned up, I would give it some time... unless you need to change it early to get your money back (if you've paid any).  If you're having a small wedding, try the Colonel John G. Kullmann house, Rumor's, Stone Bridge.</div>

I don't think she's meaning the venue is damaged. I'm taking it she means from seeing all of the people who are in need coming there for assistance and all of the heartache that is currently there. If I were you, I'd keep the venue and on your wedding day, just remember how far the city has come after such a disaster and how good everyone did by helping everyone in need. It is your wedding day, you will be happy!

I'm just saying that in a year from now, she might not still associate the venue with the tornado shelter, and when it's decorated for the wedding it won't look as she remembers it now.

I would only change if there was a venue that was (1) better in some way, and (2) I wouldn't lose any money over it.  HTH!
