Need some help with honeymoon ideas...

Ok. So we're splurging on our wedding and not leaving much room in the budget for a honeymoon... but we'd really like to have a few days away from everyone just the two of us.

We have considered a cabin in the hocking hills... or maybe a B&B in put in bay?

I need some suggestions ladies!

TIA ;D

    What about the Poconos?

i heart hocking hills. i would say that it has high and low times though. in the dead of summer it might be crazy hot but you will have lots of outdoor activities. in the cooler months it is more beautiful but there is not as much to do. i suggest looking up reviews about cabins online.

    some other thoughts:
a cabin or condo rental on port clinton/put-in-bay (south bass island, kelly's island, etc.)
driving to North Carolina isn't too bad
Brown National Forest in Indiana (the undiscovered Hocking Hills)
French Lick Resort in Indiana (used to go there for family vacations as a kid)
Wheeling, West Virginia (really, not as hick-like as you might imagine)

    Hope you find something wonderful!!!

There are a lot of B&B around Ohio, you may just have to do some checking. I love Hocking Hills as well, and that time of year would be nearly perfect.

Check out the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls....it's right next to Hocking Hills.

I have never personally gone, but I sooooo want to! Someone told me the spa is amazing!

We have rented a cabin the last 2 years in Hocking Hills around the mid-October time.  It's beautiful that time of the year with all the leaves changing.  Hiking at Old Man's cave is always fun and I have done a zip line tour that was great as well.  They book up quickly in the fall so if you want a nice place, book early!

I agree with the other ladies...Hocking Hills would be a great mini-moon and it would be nice in Novmber! I've done the zipline tour there (Hocking Hills Canaopy Tours...ah-mazing!!) and FI and I actually got engaged at a cabin there! Also, someone else mentioned the Inn at Cedar Falls. I've never been there, but a few friends of mine have and they rave about it.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the name of the group! I will definitely look them up =)
DF and I have been talking about this more and more and he actually really loves the idea of doing the honeymoon (love that "mini-moon" haha) in the hocking hills cause he's never been there.  I think it'd be a lot of fun to do the zipline tour!  We were trying to come up with ideas on things to do outside of the cabin ;D haha
