I was proposed on New Years Eve, his original idea was Christmas because he gave me a promise ring on Christmas 7 years prior but had to work overtime at the fire station. His birthday is New Years day so we were able to celebrate the New Year, his birthday and our engagement with our friends and family. He said he wanted to ring in the new year as a happy engaged couple!
