Going tanning shortly (I know - I hate it, but Im rockin a killer farmers tan... and farmer tan + strapless dress looks klassy...)Do I need the lotain they are going to try to sell me?  Or can I go without the $800 bottle of smelly stuff?  hehe

I never used anything when I went tanning - SPF, lotion or otherwise - but I am also a skin cancer survivor so I would probably recommend using something if you HAVE to tan, even if it's SPF 4.

I never used the lotions they try to sell when tanning.  I think it's the lotion that makes people look orange and fake sometimes.  When I tan with nothing, I think it's more natural...

Thanks girls - and FWIW, I know its bad - I just cant walk around with these tan lines on my wedding day or honeymoon...  It looks rediculous!  Normaly, I wouldnt - but I want to look my best   I havent gone tanning since high school - like 15 years ago!  Sheesh Im old!

I didn't use anything when before the wedding.  I also went for the same reasons.  I had crazy bathing suit marks from summer that were still there in the fall.

i bought a strapless bathing suit this year to avoid tan lines but i still had the ones from last year.  i plan on going tanning about a week before the wedding to get a little glow.

I am very pale so I tanned before heading to Greece so I wouldn't fry.  Even though it is not as good as the salon stuff, I used the indoor tanning lotion from Sally's Beauty Supply.  It was $10.  I noticed a difference with it.
