Hows you cat doing today?

We managed to get a whole bunch of junk out last night, but it re-swelled this morning. FI is calling the vet today...We switched all of the dishes yesterday, we have been doing the kitty acne ointment, and we have also been doing hot compresses (which, surprisingly, he is calm during, which leads us to believe it helps him feel better), which are opening the pores more and more. It just looks so nasty- I researched it and researched it online, but everything I found only really addressed the beginning stages, when it's only blackheads. His lips and chin are so swollen, but we can't really get anything out because he's in so much pain. We will see what the vet says- we have heard that if it doesn't get better really soon, they will either give them laughing gas or partially sedate them so they can go in and manually pop them all. I have to say, I had never even heard of feline acne before this...and it's not the most pleasant of medical issues to deal with. Correction, it's really gross and nasty to deal with.
