Poll on BM gift...

I am thinking about doing something along the lines of this:[IMG]http://i26.tinypic.com/167t73o.jpg[/IMG]Or this:[IMG]http://i32.tinypic.com/2vb1zsj.jpg[/IMG]For the bridesmaids gifts.  I may do both, and give each girl both, and tell them they can wear one or the other or both depending on what they feel comfortable in and their dress neckline.  I was planning on making them myself, since I have the instructions and can get freshwater pearls online for a decent price (and I can get the round ones that are not different shapes and sizes...Fire Mountain Gems is a wonderful website!)I was planning on doing the ribbon either in white or the cobalt blue that the dresses are in.  I was also planning on attaching a charm to the bracelet part- either a heart with their initial, or something that is meaningful to our relationship, dunno yet. What do you ladies think?  Also, do you think I should do them in real freshwater pearls, or do them in glass pearls?

Love them!  Definately do it!  My only piece of advice, is use a white ribbon - if you use white, they can use them after at any time.  If you went with the blue, it might limit the girls from reusing. AC Moore also has a great jewelry section if you want to make it...

Thanks girls.  I was leaning towards doing white.I actually get most of my jewelry making supplies online, because it's cheaper- with as much as I make, saving money is a good thing.  Plus, I don't think AC Moore sells freshwater pearls of equal shape and size- I know firemountaingems.com has them, and for a good price.  Actually, if you ever need anything jewelry related, including instructions, I would highly recommend them.  They even have sterling silver and pewter charms, and a big selection of them.
