Anyone heard anything about using Avenue Methodist Church in Milford, DE?  We happened on the church today and had a little look-in.  It looked PERFECT!

Where exactly and what exactly are you looking for when it comes to your wedding (both ceremony and reception)?

I am only asking because you have now done two posts inquiring about different locations.  If you tell us the nuts and bolts, like when, location preferred, budget (very important), number of guests (also very important), and what "theme" you are looking for, the girls on here should be able to direct you down that particular road.

Usually, on these boards, instead of asking about one thing at a time, it's helpful if you ask about vendors and such in general terms.  Then, the girls are able to give you recommendations that you can run with.  By doing it the way you are now, if no one has heard of that particular venue or church, you won't get any responses.

For example, my budget was $8k for 125-130 guests, church ceremony, not particular about "theme" as long as it fit in my budget.  I wanted it in NCCo, but was willing to look into MD or PA if the price was right (money was everything when it came to the wedding for me; I can customize anywhere).  I got recommendations for Red Clay Room, Executive Banquet, Mendenhall Inn, Clayton Hall (at UD) Chesapeake Inn, Deerfield, The Farmhouse, and a couple of others.  From there, I was able to gt a good idea of what I really wanted, and was able to narrow down exactly what and where, and ended up going with Executive.

By asking in generalizations, I was able to get more recommendations (and from people who had personal firsthand experience, not just from the hall itself), and it paid off for every vendor I found on here by doing it that way.  Just a suggestion for you (and other brides on here as well!).

If there are other vendors you need help with as well, don't feel shy to ask.  Every vendor that I was recommended to on these boards that I went with ended fantastically.  Good luck, and hopefully we can help you!

Thanks for the advice, MBR.  I'll post another post with the info you suggested and see if I get any responses.  Sorry...kinda new at this.

The Avenue Church in Milford is beautiful!!  My only sugesstion to you would be to be mindful of how many guests you got. The parking lot is not too too huge and street parking down there is a nightmare.
