Vendor Reviews Part 3

Groom & groomsmen tuxedos: B-

Romanoff Classic Tuxedo: www.romanoffsclassictuxedos.com/">http://www.romanoffsclassictuxedos.com/

I let my husband control the tuxes entirely. I told him the place and the color and he picked out the suits, took care of letting the groomsmen know, etc. I pretty much had nothing to do with this. From what I heard and saw though I was somewhat disappointed. I picked Romanoff because of their reputation and the fact that they were locally owned and operated. However, my father’s pants were ripped, my father-in-law’s suit jacket was too tight and they forgot about the free suit that was promised to my husband. Big faults in my opinion. Other than that they had a good selection, were reasonably priced and all the groomsmen said they were easy to get a hold of. They are closed on Sundays though which made it hard for people from out of town returning tuxes.

Bridal bouquets and boutonnieres: A+

Nic’s Buttons Buds: www.etsy.com/shop/NicAnswer">http://www.etsy.com/shop/NicAnswer

I skipped flowers entirely in my wedding and instead had all the bouquets and boutonnieres made of buttons. I loved the brooch idea but it was outside of my budget. When I saw Nic’s designs I knew I found exactly what I wanted. All of the buttons are custom ordered for my colors and style. It also had a signature I Do button in the center with rhinestone buttons with my husband and my initials. It was not too heavy either. I did opt to order a separate throw bouquet that was smaller and I could keep my bouquet without worrying about preservation.

The boutonnieres and corsages for the groomsmen/fathers/mothers were also beautiful. They were made of leather for the leaves and buttons for the flowers. Nic is a busy lady with lots of orders but I never felt like she was too busy for me. She was prompt in all her correspondence and very thorough. It takes a lot of time and great care to create all of these and it shows what pride she takes in her work.

Bridesmaids Bouquets: A+BizouBizou: www.etsy.com/shop/BizouBizou">http://www.etsy.com/shop/BizouBizouAndrea was another one of my favorite etsy sellers. I purchased these pomanders for my bridesmaids bouquets. When I unwrapped each one I felt like I was unwrapping individual works of art. They were stunning and my bridesmaids loved them. Andrea made each of them from scratch and had 7 of them to me within 6 weeks. A few of the pearl handles broke during shipping and she had me send them back for her to fix. She absorbed all the shipping costs and made sure they were perfect for my day. Andrea also takes great pride in her work and ultimately wants to please her clients. Highly recommended!

Wedding Program:A+

KO Two Designs: www.etsy.com/shop/KOtwo">http://www.etsy.com/shop/KOtwo

I ordered the mini-newspaper programs from Kendal as I’m a former journalist and still work at the paper. This was by far one of the biggest hits at the wedding. No one had seen anything like it. Kendel was amazing to work with and was super quick with the layout. She made the process seamless and allowed me as many changes as I needed. It was such a unique way to personalize the day and Kendal had great ideas of how to incorporate our theme into the paper. You print these yourself so you have the option of printing at home or taking to a local shop. One of my favorite people I worked with during the entire wedding process.

Ring bearer bowl: A

Love Grows by Giving: www.etsy.com/shop/lovegrowsbygiving">http://www.etsy.com/shop/lovegrowsbygiving

Ring bearer bowls are becoming a growing trend as a cute alternative to the pillows. This bowl was absolutely stunning on my day with a lace pattern and thin gold leaf writing. It was incredibly sturdy which was important with a four-year-old carrying it. Lea shipped it quickly and personalized it exactly as I liked. She had a lot of styles, shapes and sizes and she was more affordable than most Etsy shops selling similar bowls.

Signs: A-

Romantic Planet: www.etsy.com/shop/RomanticPlanet?ref=seller_info">http://www.etsy.com/shop/RomanticPlanet?ref=seller_info

I ordered three signs from this shop owner. The hubby and wifey signs for our chairs and photo ops and a sign for my daughter/flower girl to carry that said “here comes the bride” on one side and “happily every after” on the other. My daughter’s sign was one of the biggest hits of the day. Everyone loved it! The signs were a great quality and created exactly to fit my colors and style. They took a little while longer than expected to ship so that is why I gave the minus. The shop owner did say they were really backed up.

Lanterns: A-

Just Artifacts: www.justartifacts.net/">http://www.justartifacts.net/

These lanterns would have worked perfectly for my wedding if I ended up needing them. They were some of the cheapest I could find and shipped super quickly. They have a limited return policy though and the shipping packaging wasn’t the best so that is what the minus is for. They were in perfect condition.

Aisle Runner: A

Sashes for Love: www.etsy.com/shop/sashesforlove">http://www.etsy.com/shop/sashesforlove

I splurged on my aisle runner. I could have gotten the ones at Michael’s for $30 but I wanted a certain look so I purchased a custom made 100 foot burlap aisle running. It was fantastic with the rustic nature of my venue. It was made based on my desire for length and width and arrived within less than a week. It held up great during the day. Never a trip of a bridesmaid or tear in the fabric.

Table Runners: A

LaruesLine: www.etsy.com/shop/LaruesLine">http://www.etsy.com/shop/LaruesLine

Instead of your standard colored linens I opted for have burlap table runners made. I had 24 of these custom made for my length and width and they still arrived within 2 weeks. They were exactly as pictured in the shop. They obviously needed to be steamed after shipping but looked beautiful.
