Gonna be an aunt!

My SIL is expecting a baby girl 10/25/10 (same birthday as my mom, and DH's BFF) so I will be welcoming my first niece at the end of this month - I'm so excited!!  You know what sucks though?  I LOVE horses, and have ridden my entire life, and I went to Babies R Us thinking I would get Isabella her first "horsie" and can you believe that there was not ONE stuffed horse or pony in the entire store??  Isn't it every little girl's dream to have a pony?  So now I'm on the hunt. 
This is going to make the baby itch so much worse for me.  DH and I have agreed to wait until next November to start trying (he wanted 2 years, I wanted 1, so we compromised on 18 months) but having the new baby will be good experience for us.  DH has held a baby ONCE in his life...and that was just a few months ago!  Just thought I'd share the news!

    Congrats!!!! 

    This is exactly why when I finally get to be an aunt, I'm making him/her a stuffed animal.  I would get my heart set on finding a very specific animal and wouldn't be able to find it... so I'll just knit exactly what I want!! Problem solved!

    You should go to Build a bear at the Christiana mall. I'm almost positive they have a horse. Check the website!

    Lauren- you will LOVE being an Aunt.  I became an Aunt for the first time in February, and let me tell you, it is the greatest feeling.  My niece Layla is the love of my life (besides my hubby of course).  I call her my "baby girl".  I can not get enough of her.  She really makes me want to have one so bad, and this is coming from someone who used to not like or want kids at all!  Congrats and enjoy being an Aunt, I know I do!  :)

    I LOVE being an aunt!!  I have the best niece and nephew and when I get married, I'll have 2 more nieces and another nephew.  They really are the loves of my life and have really helped our family become closer.  I also was someone who was firm in the belief that I NEVER wanted children!
