As much as I want to be FI's wife, and as exciting as everything seemed 6 months ago, now that we are 6 weeks out, I just want it all to be OVER.
I feel like all the stuff over the past year and a half, the majority of the stuff that needs to be done is condensed into the last 6-8 weeks. And with me not being able to drive and still in some pain from surgery, I feel not only limited but like I am going crazy.
I loved planning, but I am tired of it and want it to be done, over, and have moved on. I still need to go get the candy for the candy buffet, which I can't do until my dad (who agreed to pay for it because it was the one thing he had to have) get back from Seattle and has a break in work. Now that invites are out, I get updates from my mom every day on who has responded (coughcoughluracoughcough..lol jk), and I am not looking forward to tracking those people down who don't respond. There is stuff that I need to do (finish making jewelry, putting ribbon on the bubbles, etc) that I am doing during the day, only because it gives me something to do (I know there are knotties who have offered to help, but that stuff does help me feel like I am contributing in some way).
I still need to figure out stuff for table numbers (they provide ones in the frames, which I am not too fond of), a bar menu list, a guest book sign, escort card sign, in memory of sign, Mr and Mrs signs, candy buffet signs, can anyone suggest any other signs I might need??
Sorry for the vent. I know alot of you are in the beginning stages, and are excited to get going. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but I finally see why so many of my married friends are done with weddings before theirs even happens.
Also, just an FYI, I will be selling stuff after the wedding, and this is the first time that I am mentioning it. Since you girls are local, and I hate shipping anything, I figured I would give you all a crack at the stuff first. Some of the stuff, off the top of my head, is candy buffet related items (glassware, scoops, etc), metal scroll easels (I plan on using them, if I have enough, to hold the table numbers as well as the bar list and other things), LED candles, regular tealights, baskets...I can't think of anything else right now, but be on the look out for more info after the wedding (October 2).
