My FI wanted to have some say in getting his Best Maid's gifts, but since he's a guy and doesn't really know what girls want, I was helping him out.
Well, she's done! We went to Gettysburg this past weekend for a church convention, and on the way home stopped at the Lancaster outlets, at Coach.
Well, they were having a HUGE sale. Half the store was 50% off the lowest marked price, plus they gave us a coupon that was 20% off the entire store (including the sale items!). We got her a black leather portfolio, originally $150, for $35; an umbrella (it's soooo cute!) originally $50, for $20, and a passport case, originally $50, for $20. She works for the Republican Party in PA, so the portfolio will come in really handy (it's got all sorts of pockets inside); she does a lot of door to door work even in the rain so the umbrella will come in handy; her family is from Greece so she travels overseas quite often, and doesn't currently have a passport case.
Add that to the Vera Bradley bag I got on Ruelala for $15 (orignally $58!!), plus some other odds and ends (I got each girl 3 PocBacs from B&BW on sale, a set of cute note cards from Marshalls, and some tissues and other beauty stuff for the day of).
All I need to do now is order the other girls Lands End totes ($20 each with personalization) and get them each something else to go into the bags, and the girls are done! Then we have to finish the two guys, but that will be easy (Harley Davidson stuff for one, Camping/boy scout stuff for the other).
This is a huge relief for me, because we didn't know what to get her specifically (FI really isn't good at that kind of thing, and I don't know her well enough to guess gift ideas); every girl loves Coach, tho!
Our invitations are in and picked up! They look AMAZING! All I have to do now is print the accomdations/directions card, and assemble them, and they are good to go!
The girls dresses are ordered (yeah, I know, it's really late). My mom couldn't decide on if the girls should pay themselves or pay her, and I finally said just order the dang things and they can pay you, because we have GOT to get them ordered. I just hope they come in on time...
We choose The Marriot Courtyard for our hotel (Christiana). Now all I have to do is call today and confirm the reservation.
Annnnd I think that's it...sigh, it's neverending, huh?? So many details, so little time!
