Good vibes, please!

I won't be able to get on tomorrow beforehand, so I am posting this now.

I see the surgeon tomorrow, in Wynewood, and we will discuss surgery for an implantation of a spinal cord stimulator to treat my RSD/CRPS, and several other things.  We are hoping (prayingprayingpraying more like it!) that he will let me schedule for permanent surgery tomorrow rather than make me do another week-long trial (which I had back in October 2008, and had fantastic results from).

This is what we have spent the last year and half fighting for, the approval and implantation of a spinal cord stimulator.  While it isn't a permanent fix, all of my doctors believe I am the ideal canidate for this surgery.  I just want it done, over with, and the majority of recovery over with by the wedding, so I can walk down the aisle pain free and assistance free.

So, if you could send me many thoughts, prayers, and vibes, I would be most grateful.  I know several of you have been keeping tabs on where I am in the process; as soon as I am home from the surgeon tomorrow, I will give an update.  If you have any questions about what RSD/CRPS is, what I have dealt with, or what a spinal cord stim is, feel free to email me (msbriarrose@gmail.com), and I will gladly fill you in via email on my phone (I have never hid my disease nor my fight; you never know who it may inspire or give strength to)!

Thank you so much!

The appointment went well, and implantation surgery is scheduled for July 19th.  Apparently, the thoughts and prayers of my family/friends/knotties were with me, because they had that one opening that had been looked over all day, while everyone else had been scheduled for late July/ early August.  That would have meant I would have still be in recovery at the wedding; now, this date gives me a cushion of 2 weeks if needed (which I am told by other implantees that I probably won't).

This is what I have fought so hard for, and I can't wait to wake up and be pain free; to be able to drive again, to not be on the pain meds....there's just so many things I am thankful for.
