dress shopping

This may be a silly question but what did you ladies wear as far as undergarments when you started trying on dresses?  Did you bring a strapless bra or just go braless.  I only have 1 strapless bra and Im sure it will show underneath most of the dress I try on but I dont want to invest in a new one until I know the style of dress I am getting.  Did you get a better idea of how it would fit with a bra or does it not make a difference?  Thanks!!

I didn't bring one... But the dress I ended up with has a corset built in. They had one there for me to wear at all of the places that I've gone.

Most places you go, if not all (I think David's didn't but now they do, maybe, not sure) have a bra for you to wear when trying on (if you want it/need it), a crinoline (if you want it/need it), and some places also offer shoes around the height of what you would be wearing (I didn't use them, but I knew I would be wearing flats.  My suggestion for this is if you know the exact height of your shoes go for it, otherwise just try it on without).

Also, make sure to wear some cute undies (like someone suggested in another post), because you will be changing with a consultant most of the time (actually, this was one of the reasons I liked Brides and Grooms, because my mom could help me instead of the consultant- I am very very self conscious about my body), and you don't want to be wearing the ratty panties most of us have for you know what time.

I always wear a strapless bra and panties that I won't be embarrassed if the wedding shop lady sees.

I wore a strapless bra...and you could see it in the back of some of the dresses, but I didn't really worry about that.  But they did ask me if I needed a strapless bra when I went in, so chances are they may have some.  I was at Bridal & Tuxedo Shoppe in Newark.

Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

    i brought a corset.

depending on the salon, they might have bras for u to borrow.

i'd say bring a regular brat for any strapped dresses u might try on, & ur strapless. it doesn't matter whether u see the bra when trying dresses on.
