Aug 15th girls

Hey,I guess I could post this on the August board but I know you both are getting married at or around the same day and time I am. What is your basic timeline for the day?Such as what time you're getting hair, makeup, pictures, etc? I don't really know how much time I need for everything. I don't want to be rushed at the end but I also don't really want to be waiting around in my dress while it's nearly 90 degrees out!So, just curious as to what you all have lined up.

We have to be at the Rose Room to set up @ 10am. Then we are heading to my mom's and I set aside 11am-4pm for lunch and getting ready. I have my hair and makeup girls there for that whole time. Then we are meeting downtown for pics @4:45 w/ our parents and whole bridal party. From 6-7, me and my girls are going to be in the bride's room touching up while the guys are down at old chicago getting pics w/ my photographer. Ceremony is @ 7!! P.s. And I think I'm putting my dress on like right before we leave the house! LOL. Way too hot!

Thanks, Chicha! That helps. Are you doing all of your pictures before the wedding or are you taking more after the ceremony? And where are you having your ceremony? Is it inside where you are having your reception? If so what are you doing right after you two walk back down the aisle together? We're getting married and having the reception in our backyard so I'm not really sure what we should do. Do we just go right into taking pictures? Do we go inside an hang out together for a minute while people move the chairs and stuff? For some reason it seems like an awkward transition.Btw, if anyone else has any input for all of my questions I'll gladly take it.

Our ceremony is the same place as the reception, that's why we are doing pics before. We are doing all the ones w/ our family and bridal party before and jsut a few more of us afterwards so we get that little bit of alone time. I'd definitely go in and take a little time together to just yourselves, then start on pics. That's a super special moment Good luck!

Thanks again, I appreciate it. I think we will sneak away  and just enjoy the "just married" moment. Hope all is going well with your wedding plans, it's coming up so fast. You look great in your dress!

Thanks It's still getting alterations I can't wait to see it! Planning is good, I still feel like I have alot to do though. But at this point I just want it to be over. Nate and I are more looking forward to our honeymoon at this point! How are your plans going?

Yeah, when I start thinking about all the little things that you can't really do until right before...the list seems like it keeps growing.My planning is going alright. My fiance is doing his annual training out in the OTA and has had to stay over night out there since the 17th and won't be home until next week sometime. To compound that, we just moved into a new house so I'm trying to clean out the old one (we rented) and put things away in the new one. Oh, and put together the wedding! It's a lot.However, it's a very casual wedding in our backyard and our "vendors" are all family so I'm not really worried about things coming together. It's just all the beverages, chairs, tables...things like that, that are left to take care of.I can't wait to see your pics and everyone elses. I'm such a hypocrite...I hate it when people don't post pics but I don't do it myself. Maybe I'll put up a couple if anyone cares

Definitely post some! I love seeing people's pics I heard August 1st on the radio today and I've been all jittery and excited ever since. I never thought it would be august! ahhhhh!!

Hey! Sorry I'm a little late. So far I have about 10:00 I get my makeup done, 11:00 - 2:30 all of us girls get our hair done (in between appts girls get their makeup done) 3:00 showing up to Venue, Getting Dressed and touching up 4:00ish maybe before - First Glance Pictures, WP pics, and some family - we'll end pictures @ 5:30 and go hide 6:00 Ceremony Starts 6:30 End of Ceremony, "Winetail" Hour begins , while we're finishing up with family portraits 715ish Dinner I'm trying to give myself enough of a time cushion for things so I'm not hustling around being late - stuff happens.

Thanks Jeska! I was wondering where you were. Hope your planning is going well. We're in August now...crazy! Did either of you get your marriage license yet? If so, was pretty quick and easy? I've got to try to squeeze it in between picking up people at the airport so I want to make sure I have enough time. Here's to a nice stress-free count down

i got mine months ago. it took maybe 20 minutes!

That's good to know. I know that in Idaho you can get your license way in advanced...and I tried to not procrastinate, but I failed. Did you get your dress finished yet?

The lady called me today and wanted me to drop everything and come in right that second. lol. so i'm going in thursday afternoon to make sure she took it in enough, then i can pick it up anytime! we're paying our mortgage early this month so we don't have to worry about it on our honeymoon, so i'm picking it up thursday and taking it straight to my mom's! ahhh! i can't believe we are so close. it used to seem like forever ago, now here it is right around the corner.

Hey, yea I haven't been on here to much lately. I can't believe how close it is! 10 days...wow I got my marriage license 3 weeks ago. It's so easy I was actually expecting it to be much MUCH more time consuming (& difficult?). It took Eric & I not even 10 minutes to get in and out, it was awesome! Make sure to keep an eye out in the paper, they put it in there I clipped mine to put in my wedding scrapbook.
